AIT are hosting this Friday 9th December the 3rd National Higher Education Lifelong Learning Ireland Conference (HELLIN).

HELLIN is a consortium of all HE institutions in Ireland, Universities and Institutes of Technology and others - see www.Hellin.ie and their aim is to promote and advance Lifelong Learning and Continuing and Professional Development for adults within Universities, Institutes of Technology and other relevant bodies throughout the island of Ireland. HELLIN are affiliated to the European University Continuing Education Network (EUCEN) and the American Association for Adult and Continuing Education (AAACE). Dr Michael Tobin, Head of Department of Lifelong Learning at the Athlone Institute of Technology had this past year been the President of HELLIN for 2016.

AIT Celebrates its Inaugural Scholarship of Excellence Recipients at Awards Ceremony

AIT celebrated the success of the inaugural recipients of its Scholarships of Excellence which were awarded to a select group of first year students at a special ceremony on Wednesday 23rd November, in recognition of the high points they achieved in their leaving certificate examinations.

2,000 Graduate from Athlone Institute of Technology

More than 2,000 graduates were conferred with awards ranging from higher certificate to PhD over two days of ceremonies at Athlone Institute of Technology (AIT). The ceremonies were held in the AIT International Arena.


‌‌‌AIT launches an honours degree in Quantity Surveying.

AIT will offer a four year BSc honours degree in Quantity Surveying from September 2016. Current Leaving Certs can apply. The programme is timely.
